I can see while debugging my script that the webView2 control is created, but nothing ever loads. I'm currently trying to integrate the WebView2 control into my PowerShell Winform GUI. I love vs code, but holy shit is it godawful at the things that should be it's strengths.I have not been able to find any information on this so I'm not sure its entirely possible. Nevermind that it just wants to complain about the XML fragment in a document that isn't even active.Īnd don't get me started on the terminal pane randomly deciding it wants to mangle your code or forget that a library was loaded or try to take control of the shell environment because it thinks it's in charge of doing nothing but calling the C# compiler. It's faster to copy the code to the terminal window and back. I'm not waiting 3 minutes for VS code to figure out what the parameters are for Get-CimInstance. Meanwhile the PSReadLine completion at the actual command line is consistently rock solid. It won't understand the difference between a variable, a statement, or a command. The code completion in vs code breaks constantly if you do anything beyond a beginner script, and God help you if you edit a line instead of write perfect code from the get-go. Honestly, I spend more time copying code to an external terminal window. I set the integrated shell this way since I want to respond to modern authentication requests.Ĭan you guys think of anything else I should add? The Command line also work with PowerShell editor.
